The next four lessons focus on simplifying radical expressions. Students learn to simplify radical expressions by removing any perfect square (cube) factors from the radical and combining like terms. They also remove radicals from the denominator of a fraction. Once radicals are simplified, students can add, subtract, multiply and divide the expressions.

After simplifying radical expressions, students move to the next four lessons to solve radical expressions where they learn to solve both radical equations and problems that use distance and midpoint formulas.
